Terms of Use

These terms set expectations for using Kechive, including accounts, inventory, household collaboration, and optional AI tools.

Effective: July 14, 2026 · Last updated: July 14, 2026

Agreement

By using Kechive or this support website, you agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. “Kechive” in these terms refers to the Kechive app, support website, and related services.

Accounts, access codes, and eligibility

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your device and credentials secure, and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access. Do not share passwords or account access codes. You may not create an account using another person’s identity or attempt to bypass account or platform protections.

Acceptable use

Use Kechive only for lawful personal or household-inventory purposes. You may not:

  • Interfere with, probe, overload, reverse engineer where prohibited, or attempt unauthorized access to the service or another account.
  • Upload unlawful, harmful, infringing, deceptive, or malicious content.
  • Use invite or access codes without permission, harvest information, or misuse another household’s content.
  • Use automated means in a way that harms the service or other users.

Your content and responsibilities

You keep responsibility for inventory names, notes, tags, photos, and other content you add. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to add and share it. You grant Kechive permission to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service, support sharing you request, and address support or safety issues.

Avoid storing highly sensitive information in Kechive. Review entries for accuracy and maintain any independent records you cannot afford to lose.

Household sharing and invite codes

Household owners and members are responsible for choosing whom they invite and for understanding that shared inventory can be viewed or changed according to household roles. Invite codes should be treated as private. Do not post them publicly or send them to someone you do not intend to join.

Owners are responsible for household administration, including role changes, member removal, ownership transfer, and household deletion. Removing or leaving a household may affect access but does not necessarily erase shared content retained for remaining members. See Family Sharing Help.

Service availability, synchronization, and backups

Kechive depends on devices, networks, Apple CloudKit, and other services outside Kechive’s control. The service may be interrupted, changed, or unavailable, and synchronization may be delayed. Kechive does not guarantee that every change will appear immediately on every device.

Keep independent backups or records for information that is important to you. Software errors, device issues, account changes, third-party outages, or user actions may result in lost, delayed, duplicated, or changed data.

Optional AI output

If AI features are available and you enable them, generated output may be incorrect, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your situation. Review output before acting on it. Do not use AI output as a substitute for professional advice, an authoritative inventory, an appraisal, or an emergency service. Your configured provider may apply separate terms.

Parent-managed child accounts

A parent or guardian who creates, approves, or manages a child’s use is responsible for supervising that use, household sharing, submitted content, optional AI use, and compliance with these terms and applicable platform rules. Do not create or manage a child account unless you have the authority to do so.

Suspension and termination

Kechive may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate abuse, comply with applicable requirements, or address a material violation of these terms. When practical, notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue may be provided.

Account deletion

You may request deletion at Kechive → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Sole household owners may need to transfer ownership or delete the household first. Shared household content may remain for other members. See the Delete Account guide and Privacy Policy.

No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kechive is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Kechive does not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free synchronization, complete data preservation, or the accuracy of inventory or AI output. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Kechive will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, opportunities, or goodwill arising from use of or inability to use the service. Any liability that cannot be excluded will be limited only to the extent the law permits. Some places do not allow certain exclusions, so these limits may not fully apply to you.

Changes to the service or terms

Kechive may update the service and these terms. The date above will change when the terms are revised. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate channel. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.

Applicable law and disputes

These terms are intended to operate under applicable law without selecting a jurisdiction at this time. Any mandatory consumer protections remain unaffected. The service owner should add an appropriate governing-law, venue, and dispute-resolution clause after legal review and before public launch.
